Why is noderpc.xyz so cheap?
Introduction
In previous blog, we've analysed the prices of 15 of the most popular Ethereum and EVM compatible RPC providers, and we've come to the conclusion that noderpc.xyz, with a price of less than $0.01 per million requests, is undoubtedly the cheapest provider on the market that we know of.
But why is that and what is the motivation behind all this? And does a low price mean a lower quality product in this case?
How it all works under the hood
In order for an Ethereum and EVM compatible RPC provider to serve its clients, it needs to run on a certain hardware. In our case, our hardware is overdimensioned to handle the maximum load of each client simultaneously at any given time.
During our analysis of pricing models of competing RPC providers, we noticed a common practice of limiting the total number of requests per day or month. In our opinion, this is an attempt to monetize the same hardware multiple times.
We have done the maths and we know what it costs to run our hardware and software and what price to charge for our services in a simple and transparent way, without the need to set additional limits on maximum requests per day or month.
We believe that this is beneficial for all of us. Because, frankly speaking, it is for our own convenience as well. As you need to invest a lot of resources to implement the software that does all the limiting, counting and billing of all those 'extra' requests. Instead, we decided to make our lives easier (and yours too) by having simple, straightforward pricing and not charging for the same hardware multiple times. Another great benefit is that we can focus our energy on building the product that matters.
And does this approach have a negative impact on the quality and reliability of the RPC service we provide? Absolutely not, as in our case, the hardware is always there, whether it is being actively used or not. And it is always ready to take on the full peak load for all our customers instantly at no extra cost.
The team and values
We are a small team consisted mainly from developers who share a passion for blockchain technology.
We don't spend much on marketing and we don't have a dedicated PR team. We prefer to grow organically so we can do what we love and excel at - building affordable and reliable EVM RPC provider tailored to the needs of fellow developers. And we truly believe that a product like this will find its fair share of customers.

We chose a path to make things as simple as possible (because that's what developers do, right?) and instead of spending time and energy implementing unnecessary complex billing and request limiting software, we prefer to dedicate our time building a better product that matters - a reliable and affordable Ethereum and EVM compatible RPC provider.
